Join Our Birth Circle for yoga and support!
Whole Birth Yoga uses adapted yoga poses to teach mindfulness, highlighting the importance of awareness on the breath and body. Classes are centered on group support and teach pain management techniques, relaxation skills, and utilize meditation, and visualization.
Class time includes discussion and support with other pregnant women, yoga, and a deep relaxation. This yoga class is a great compliment to any childbirth education program.
Whole Birth Yoga will improve comfort during pregnancy, increase bonding with the developing child, and prepare the body, mind and heart for birth.
Whole Birth Yoga classes focus on supporting you during your transition to motherhood. A circle of women is created to address your emotional concerns of pregnancy, birth and motherhood. Time during each class is taken to allow you the opportunity to honor the difficulties and celebrate the joys of pregnancy.
Through discussion with other pregnant women, you are able to increasingly trust in your body’s ability to nurture and birth your babies.
The College of Obstetrics and Gynecology recommends yoga recommends yoga as an effective way to alleviate many of the common physical discomforts of pregnancy.
Women of all fitness levels and all stages of pregnancy can participate in pre-natal yoga.
No experience necessary!
All classes are held at the Coppertop Church in the Three Brothers Chapel. Enter through the main doors and follow the blossoming bellies.
